New Dewalt Battery About to Invade Your Toolbox

Saddle up – this new compact battery invasion is worthy of a Paul Revere-style alert!

Dewalt’s bringing out the POWERSTACK Compact Battery, their most powerful and lightest battery yet.

But we’ve got inner conflict.

Are we excited? Or bummed that we just bought all those regular batteries in that bundle on Amazon?

Ok fine, we admit it. Our name is Hammer & Home, and we are addicted to tools. Bring it on, Dewalt! And answer all our burning questions while you’re at it.

Like, how long is the lifetime on these little suckers? How the heck do they work? And when can we get our grubby man-hands on them?

‘Glad you asked,’ we imagine Mr. Dewalt saying.

The new battery uses “revolutionary” (the Dewalt PR team preferred adjective) stacked pouch battery cell technology, which give them twice the lifetime of regular 2-amps.

They should be here in the black-and-yellow flesh December 1, and Dewalt is promising their “breakthrough innovation will move the industry forward.”

That’s great, but what about the rest of us?

Asking for a friend.

Well, for starters, 50% more power in a 25% more compact battery seems pretty dang good.

Using a lighter tool might help you… uh, your friend… with their tennis elbow.

Just how light is the new Powerstack? A feather-like .7 pounds. With a height of 1.7 inches. And our fave LED state-of-charge indicator.

We can’t wait!
