How to use Dewalt’s Collated Magazine Accessory

Call it a must have magazine.

If you have the Dewalt Drywall Screw Gun, then we 1000% recommend getting the collated magazine accessory that goes with it.

That’s not a typo by the way, we really love this thing a thousand per cent.

You can’t screw drywall as fast by hand. There’s just no way.

Officially called the Dewalt 20V MAX XR Drywall Screw Gun Collated Magazine Accessory DCF6201, it’s super easy to use.

All you do is unlock the front nozzle with a twist, pull it off, then insert a longer extension bit.

Then just slide on the attachment (otherwise known as Accessory, Magazine, Adapter, Whatchamacallit) click it into place and voila! You’re good to go.

And if you goof and put a screw in poorly, all you need to do is pinch the sides of the magazine to whip it back off, then use the naked screw gun (still rocking the extension bit) to get that sucker in further, or remove and start over.

That’s what I like about this gun. It makes screwing drywall incredibly easy… and lightning fast.

Brad usually goes with a slim battery to keep it all nice and balanced.

The only downside is, now you’re using collated screws, which cost more.

But then again, time is money. And we’re betting you save more time than you spend on gearing up.

Watch our video to see exactly how Brad inserts the screws and a hotttt tip on how to hold it as an extension of your arm. It saves your arm from tiring out.

Because let’s save the arm workout for the gym, or post-work beer reps, shall we?
